Pencils, pens, paper and binders….these are just a few items we take for granted as most of us have access to them at home or work. For some students these items make a significant difference in starting off the school year prepared, or not.
Currently, more than 30% of our Round Rock ISD families in Round Rock, Northwest Austin and Cedar Park (approximately 13,600 students) qualify for the federally-funded Free and Reduced Lunch program. These students are eligible to receive free basic school supplies from Round Rock ISD and the RRISD Partners in Education Foundation.
We were able to serve 7,000 students last year which included bags sent to the campus level to accommodate students who were unable to attend the 2-day distribution event. Free immunizations were also available to students.
In order to meet our student’s needs, we need your help as a sponsor of our “Support a Student program.” This program allows anyone in the community the opportunity to sponsor a student for only $10. We also offer an opportunity to “Adopt a Campus” for those who are interested in adopting an entire campus in need. Your gift, no matter what amount, will help!
We hope that you will contribute today towards our School Supply drive and join us in helping our students get the best start possible for the 2014-2015 school year!
