Community and business leaders get a first-hand look at Round Rock ISD as participants in the district’s “Principal Experience” program each year.
Co-sponsored by Round Rock ISD and the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation, the “Principal Experience” program is an opportunity for business, community and government leaders to better understand what is happening in their local schools. It is also designed to help strengthen links between the community and its schools.
Each of the campuses are matched with a community or business leader who will spend the morning at the school and have lunch with administrators at the Round Rock ISD Performing Arts Center to discuss their day at a district-sponsored luncheon. The participants spend time with administrators, teachers and students learning about the school and school district’s successes as well as challenges, and saw first hand what is going on in the classrooms.
